This policy describes the native FolderCam iPhone and iPad app, bundle ID com.zrindy.subcamera.

Photos, videos and folders

FolderCam keeps captured and imported media, folder names, edits, and app preferences in its local app container. The app does not send this library to a Zrindy server. Captures are not automatically added to the system Photos library. Sharing, exporting to Photos, and importing selected items happen only when you choose those actions. A destination you select for sharing handles the exported content under its own privacy practices. Starting with version 1.0.2, Premium users can save independent copies to Cloud or Files. You choose a location from the native iOS Files picker, including iCloud Drive or an installed third-party provider such as Google Drive. The provider handles its own sign-in, upload, retention, and privacy practices; FolderCam does not receive your cloud account credentials or synchronize your library automatically. A copy accepted by the picker is not proof of completed remote upload. Check the provider or Files app for upload status.

Device permissions

Camera access is used for photo, video, and document capture. Microphone access is requested for video recording with sound. Photo imports use the system photo picker and only selected items are read. Photos add-only access is requested when you explicitly save an item to Photos. Permissions can be changed in iOS Settings.

Optional location stamps

Location access is requested only when you enable Premium location stamps. The captured coordinates are rendered on the photo on your device. If you share that image, the visible location stamp is shared with it. Turn off stamps in FolderCam and revoke location permission in iOS Settings to stop future location access.

Retention and deletion

Media stays until you delete it by default. You can enable automatic deletion for individual folders. The chosen period applies to new captures made afterward; expired items are removed when the app next runs cleanup on opening or returning to the foreground. Deletion at an exact time while iOS suspends the app is not guaranteed. Starting with version 1.0.2, Premium adds custom folder periods from 1 to 3,650 days and individually chosen deletion dates and times. A saved schedule remains in effect after Premium expires. Change an item to Keep before its deadline to cancel deletion for free. Changing a folder period affects new items. Disabling folder retention clears folder-inherited deadlines; individually chosen deletion times remain. Explicit moves replace an item's deadline with the destination folder policy, while deleting a folder cancels deadlines as its contents move to Unsorted. Manual deletion and automatic cleanup remove only app originals, leaving copies already exported to Photos, Files or a cloud provider unchanged.

Removing the app removes its local library. Export important items beforehand. Device backups are controlled by your iOS settings; a backup may retain a previous copy of app data. FolderCam does not operate a separate cloud backup service.

Purchases

Apple processes Premium payments. Beginning with version 1.0.0 (2), FolderCam uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, provide paid entitlements, restore purchases, manage subscription status, and provide purchase analytics to Zrindy. The SDK sends an automatically generated anonymous customer identifier and Apple purchase information, including purchased products, transaction identifiers, purchase dates, expiration dates, and renewal status, to RevenueCat. FolderCam does not associate that identifier with your name or email address and does not send your photos, videos, folder contents, or location stamps to RevenueCat. Apple handles payment details; the app does not receive or transmit your payment card information. Restore is available in the Premium screen. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Advertising

Starting with version 1.0.2, free users may see a banner in the library or an interstitial after a completed export. Premium users do not see these ads. Ads never control whether a photo is saved or exported; an unavailable ad does not block an export. Google Mobile Ads delivers the ads, and Google's User Messaging Platform requests regional consent before eligible ad requests and provides privacy choices when required. Ad requests use non-personalized mode. FolderCam does not request Apple's tracking authorization, use IDFA, or enable cross-app tracking. Google may process network information and approximate location, device identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and crash, performance, and diagnostic data to deliver and measure ads. The app does not pass photos, videos, filenames, folder names, or precise location stamps to the ad SDK. You can use the in-app privacy choices when available or your device's privacy settings; stopping ads entirely requires Premium. See Google's privacy policy. Version 1.0.1 does not show ads.

Analytics and accounts

FolderCam has no account sign-in or first-party photo upload service. Through version 1.0.3, app usage analytics was off until enabled in Settings. Starting with version 1.0.4 (10), app usage analytics is on by default; a previously saved opt-out remains off. This version has no in-app analytics switch. When enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase receives usage events (such as onboarding stages, actions and foreground durations, capture, local save, library, export, retention and Premium actions), an app-instance identifier, app version and device information. Google may derive an approximate region from masked IP addresses. The SDK also measures app lifecycle and StoreKit purchase/subscription events, which can include product identifiers, names and prices. These events are associated with the app-instance identifier; we do not connect it to your name, email or RevenueCat customer identifier. Photos, videos, folder names, filenames and precise location stamps are not sent to Firebase. For Firebase Analytics, advertising ID and vendor ID collection and ad personalization signals are disabled; these settings are separate from AdMob advertising. A previously saved opt-out prevents collection. Removing the app stops future collection but does not erase data already received by Google; contact dev@zrindy.com about access or deletion requests. Analytics event retention follows the Google Analytics property settings. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy and security information. This analytics capability began with FolderCam 1.0.1; version 1.0.0 (3) does not contain this behavioral SDK.

Purchase records and privacy requests

Deleting the app removes its local library but does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Purchase records are retained as needed to provide purchased access, restore purchases, handle refunds, and maintain required financial records. Contact dev@zrindy.com to request access to or deletion of information held by Zrindy or its purchase service provider. We may ask for an Apple transaction reference so that we can locate the relevant anonymous purchase record; do not send payment card details. Requests are subject to record-keeping obligations, and deleting an entitlement record can affect purchase restoration. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Support and updates

If you contact dev@zrindy.com, the email and any content you voluntarily include are delivered through email services to Zrindy for responding to your request. Avoid attaching private photos unless you intend to share them for support. Contact the same address with questions about this policy or information you have provided through support. We will update this policy when app data practices change and publish the revised effective date.
