Terms of Service

By installing or using MailBuddy, you agree to these Terms and the MailBuddy Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and authorized to connect each Google account you add.

MailBuddy is a macOS email client that connects to Gmail through Google OAuth 2.0. Features may include reading and searching mail, read and unread status, stars, archive and Trash actions, labels and Kanban views, drafts, sending, reply, forward, attachment handling, notifications, and optional AI-assisted summaries or writing.

Your Google account and Gmail data remain subject to Google’s terms and policies. MailBuddy does not control the availability, limits, security decisions, or behavior of Google APIs. Optional Codex features rely on OpenAI and your locally authenticated Codex session and are also subject to the applicable OpenAI terms.

You are responsible for reviewing recipients, message content, attachments, labels, AI-generated text, and destructive actions before confirming them. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. MailBuddy is an assistive tool and does not replace your judgment.

You may not use MailBuddy to violate law, infringe rights, send abusive or unlawful content, distribute malware, bypass security controls, access accounts without authorization, disrupt Google or third-party services, or reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where the law expressly permits it.

The MailBuddy Privacy Policy explains Gmail scopes, token storage, local data, AI processing, disclosure, retention, and user choices. It is incorporated into these Terms.

We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features, including integrations affected by platform policy or provider availability. We may update these Terms and will publish a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

MailBuddy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, delivery of every message or notification, or error-free AI output. Zrindy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages to the extent such limitation is permitted by applicable law.
